Driver Assessments
Are you looking at recruiting NEW staff members? Some interesting statistics below;
On the 2 Jun 2018 “The Citizen” reported that One out of every three drivers on South African roads may have obtained their drivers’ licences fraudulently – and this could be one of the major contributors to the country’s road death toll. According to the Road Traffic Management Corporation’s (RTMC) road fatality statistics, 14 050 people lost their lives on South Africa’s roads last year. “It can’t be denied and we can see that in the figures, which show that almost 90% of traffic accidents are the result of human error.”
On 24 October 2022 an article posted in the “Sowetan Live” reported that Over 190,000 illegally obtained driver's licenses have been sent to provincial MECs for cancellation as the department of transport sweeps through corruption at testing stations after the Special Investigating Unit probe. This was revealed by transport minister Fikile Mbalula when he briefed the media on the work that has been done to end corruption and fraud at the Driving Licensing Testing Centres (DLTC).
